Cloud folder: none chosen yet
A cloud folder is a folder on this computer that syncs to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud.
Captions
Captions are made on your own computer. Adding them downloads the caption tools, about 50 to 70 MB, from free public download servers. English only.
This recording is longer than 5 minutes, so captions will take a while.
No speech was found in this recording, so there are no captions to show.
Click a time to jump to that moment.
Captions save as a separate file (.vtt). To draw them into the video too, tick "Burn captions into the video" under Save options.
Library
This browser is not keeping recordings between visits, so this list lasts only until you close the page. Download anything you want to keep.
No recordings yet. Your takes show up here after you record.
About Takes
Where your recordings go
Takes never uploads anything. You choose where your files go.
The detail
Captions and trimmed export download their tools from free public download servers when you use them. They may download again each time you open the page. The size is shown before the download starts.
Those downloads come from cdn.jsdelivr.net and huggingface.co, which hands the caption model off to its own delivery host, us.aws.cdn.hf.co. Nothing else is contacted.
Saving to a cloud folder writes the file into a folder you pick. Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud does any uploading from there.
What it saves
Loom Business is $18 per user per month, and Business + AI is $24, at monthly billing. That is $216 to $288 a year for one person. Takes is free.
Prices from Loom's own pricing page, checked October 3rd, 2026.
Good to know
- Works in current Chrome and Edge.
- Captions are English only.
- Trimming the start and end, and cutting a section from the middle, both change the saved file. Saving an edited recording takes a few seconds per minute of video.
- Captions show on the video here and save as a separate .vtt file. To draw them into the video too, tick "Burn captions into the video" under Save options.
- The camera bubble can show a video file you choose in place of your live camera.
- The camera bubble can be a circle or a rectangle.
- The transcript can be searched, copied and saved as text or subtitles.
- When you save, you can burn the captions into the video and choose a tall 9:16 shape for social posts.
- The cloud folder gives you a file. You make the share link in Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud.
- On a Mac, the system asks for screen recording permission the first time, and Chrome needs a restart after you allow it.
